Pro Plug and Go is designed for organizations that need fast, accurate, and consistent address capture for multiple users, without the complexity of building or maintaining custom integrations.
The distributed address management solution is composed of two components - Pro Plug and Go (the desktop client) and Pro Web (the server component):
- Pro Web hosts your datasets, performs address searches, and centralizes configuration.
- Pro Plug and Go provides the user interface that connects to the server to retrieve address results.
This model allows organizations to deliver fast, reliable address lookup capabilities from a single server to many client machines without local dataset installations.
How the solution works
With Pro Plug and Go, only minimal traffic moves across your network.
- The client sends a search request to the Pro Web server.
- Pro Web processes the request using the datasets installed on the server.
- The server returns the matched results to the client.
This design ensures high performance, centralized control, and easier maintenance across the organization.
Pro Web - server component
Pro Web is a SOAP-based web server that acts as a backend service responsible for handling search requests from Pro Plug and Go client users.
Key functions:
- Hosts and manages all Experian datasets.
- Performs address searching based on client requests.
- Manages formatting rules, search settings, and system configuration, described in detail in the server configuration settings.
Pro Plug and Go - client component
Pro Plug and Go is the client-facing application that users interact with to perform address searches. It requires a network connection to a running Pro Web server.
Key functions:
- Provides interactive user interface to perform address searching.
- Allows to select the data asset to search against, search type and layout.
- Manages the connection to Pro Web server component by allowing to input the Pro Web server URL.
- Manages settings related to engine intensity, picklist size and the inclusion of match information detail when address searching is performed with Verification search type.
